For over two decades, Peggy Abbott, APRN, PMHNP, has dedicated her career to treating individuals with psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and dual diagnoses.

In 2003, she earned her Master of Science in Gerontological Nursing from the University of Lowell, Massachusetts. In 2012, she obtained a Post-Master's Certificate in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health from Rivier University in Nashua, NH. She is Board Certified as an Adult NP, a Gerontological NP and a Psychiatric NP. She's worked in several hospital inpatient geriatric psychiatric units, several assisted living units and long-term care settings as well as emergency rooms and other outpatient settings.   She later transitioned to Dartmouth Hitchcock and subsequently to New Hampshire Hospital, the state psychiatric hospital.  It is here that she connected with Dr. Stephen Gibson, the founding partner of CCC.

After four years at Dartmouth Hitchcock and NHH, she embarked on a very rewarding path—treating patients with dual diagnoses, encompassing psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders. She had the privilege of serving as the Associate Medical Director and psychiatric nurse practitioner at Granite Recovery Center. Throughout this journey, her primary goal has been to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and substance use disorders, provide a judgment-free environment, and encourage individuals to accept help, enabling them to live their best lives.
